SOIL REINFORCEMENT
With climate change having a major impact on the magnitude and frequency of cutting and embankment slope failures, soil reinforcement is one of the fastest growing traditional applications for geosynthetics.

TERRAM® soil reinforcement solutions have been used in critical structures for more than 40 years with slopes being constructed to heights of over 25m and face angles of up to 80° to the horizontal.
Typical applications include:

Steepened Embankments
Dams and Flood Defence Bunds
Retention Bunds
Green Walls
Culvert Head Walls
Sound Barriers
Geotextile Reinforced Soil Walls

Terram geotextiles can be used to wrap compacted layers of soil ultimately producing a stable composite structure. When constructed geotextile-reinforced soil walls resemble walls constructed out of large sandbags which have been used for many years. However, geotextile-reinforced walls may be constructed to significant height because of the geotextile's higher strength and the very simple construction procedures used.
